Mrs. Galyen was a 1937 graduate of Scipio High School. She worked at Muscatatuck State Developmental Center for 25 years, retiring in 1980 as a dietary supervisor, and had also been a cook at Scipio School for eight years. She was the oldest living member of Scipio Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, flowers and camping.
Mrs. Galyen was the daughter of Samuel and Emma Kleber Emly. She married Charles Edgar Galyen on December 22, 1942, in Vernon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, on July 22, 1986; seven brothers, Jim, John, Dave, Sam, Bill, George and Archie Emly; a half-brother, Paul Kleber; and three sisters, Mary Bannister, Minnie Ackert and Grace Finley.

Mr. Galyen was born in Jennings County Aug. 17, 1939, the son of the late Forrest Galyen and Mary Elkins Galyen of North Vernon. He married Irma F. Davis July 11, 1959, and she survives.
Other survivors include daughters, Teresa Smith, Becky Rodgers and Mary Willoughby, all of Columbus; five granddaughters; a great-grandson; three brothers and three sisters and a grandmother, Myrtle Tomlinson of North Vernon.
He was preceded in death by a brother.

Justice of the Peace G. P. Reddell is withholding his inquest verdict until an autopsy has been received. Constable George Hopkins was summoned to the scene when Mrs. Camp's body was found in a section just outside the city limits. After
a preliminary investigation, the body was removed by an Emken-Linton Funeral home ambulance.
Mrs. Camp has been a resident of Texan City for several years and lived with her husband at 27th street and Third avenue north in Texas City Heights. In addition to the husband, Samuel O.
