SMITH, MARION FRED-- age 92, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2004, at his home in Kodak, Tn. He is preceded in death: by wives, Edith, Martha & Willie; sons, Gene & Condon. He is survived by: his children, Mary E. Bledsoe, Marvin F. Smith, Archie Joe Smith, C.L.(Leon) Smith & Janice L. Luttrell; sisters, Verna Lakin & Margaret Kitts; 17 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 8, 2004, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Highland South Funeral Home, with services following at 8:00 P.M. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Robert Adcock will be officiating. Internment will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 9, 2004 at Thorn grove Cemetery, Strawberry Plains, TN. Arrangements by Highland South Memorial. He began military service at Lieutenant Colonel/ U.S. army/ Medal of Honor. Marion Fred Smith was also known as Marvin F. Smith.1
