Bertrand IV de Baux , 2nd Prince of Orange married Stephanette (EtiennetteStephanie) de Baux, daughter of Guillaume de Baux , of Orange and Guise de Lunel, on 13 June 1281.² Bertrand IV de Baux , 2nd Prince of Orange died in 1300.¹ He married Bertrande Giraud after 1301.¹ Bertrand IV de Baux , 2nd Prince of Orange died in 1305 at Palestine.²

Anastasia de Montfort , Countess of Nola married Romano de Orsini , Count of Nola, Senator, son of Gentile II Orsini , Senator of Rome and Claricia (Clarisse) di Ruffo, on 8 June 1293.^3,4 Anastasia de Montfort , Countess of Nola died in 1326.

     Guy de Montfort , Count of Nola was born circa 1242 at Coughton, Alcester, Warwickshire, England. He was the son of Simon VI de Montfort , 2nd Earl of Leicester and Eleanor Plantagenet , Princess of England. Guy de Montfort , Count of Nola died before 1288 at Sicily; in prison.²
     He (a) . . .Guy was wounded and taken prisoner [at the battle of Evesham].He and Simon were forced to leave the country, and went to Italy, wherethey served under Charles of Anjou. In 1271 they murdered their cousinHenry, son of Richard, Earl of Cornwall, in a church at Viterbo. Simondied in the same year near Siena, and Guy died in a Sicilian prison in1287 or 1288. . . I thoroughly agree with Mr. Dijkema as to the general excellence ofGenealogie della dinastie italiane. However, there is what appears to bea significant error in its treatment of the Orsini family ancestral toJacquette de Luxembourg. It says that Romano Orsini was Count of Nola inCampania from the year 1290 (prior to his marriage to Anastasia deMontfort) and shows his Orsini ancestors as lords of Nola for threegenerations before him. Every other source I have seen says that Nola wasgranted to Guy de Montfort by Charles d/Anjou and came to the Orsinithrough Anastasia's marriage.

By the way, I have only recently focused on the fact that Guy de Montfort(Guido di Monforte) is a major character in Verdi's I Vespri Siciliani.It is a gorgeous baritone role. Two lesser characters in the same operaare Bethune and Vaudemont, who I think may have also been ancestors ofJacquette though I have not yet had time to follow this up. Guy also, ofcourse, makes a conspicuous appearance in Dante's Inferno -- not so muchbecause he murdered his first cousin, as because he did it in a cathedral.

     Margherita Aldebrandescha was born circa 1250 at Soano, Italy. She was the daughter of Aldobrandino Conte di Soano , & Rossa and Francesca di Baschi.

     Aldobrandino Conte di Soano , & Rossa was born circa 1220 at Soano, Italy. He died in 1284.

     Francesca di Baschi was born circa 1225 at Italy.

     Gentile II Orsini , Senator of Rome was born circa 1255 at Rome, Italy. He was the son of Berthold des Ursins , Senator of Rome and Filippa (?). Gentile II Orsini , Senator of Rome died in 1314.¹

     Claricia (Clarisse) di Ruffo was born circa 1264 at Italy. She was the daughter of Pietro di Ruffo , Conte di Catanzaro and Giovanna d' Aquino.

     Pietro di Ruffo , Conte di Catanzaro was born in 1212.² He was born circa 1225 at Italy.¹ He married Giovanna d' Aquino circa 1264.¹ Pietro di Ruffo , Conte di Catanzaro died in 1302.^3,2 He died after July 1310.¹

     Giovanna d' Aquino was born circa 1246 at Acerra, Naples, Italy.¹ She married Pietro di Ruffo , Conte di Catanzaro circa 1264.¹ Giovanna d' Aquino died between 5 March 1271 and 1272.¹
      Giovanna d' Aquino was also known as Joana d' Aquina.

     Berthold des Ursins , Senator of Rome was born in 1230 at Rome, Italy. He died after 1288.¹

     Marguerite d' Aulnay was born circa 1305 at Arcadia, Greece. She was the daughter of Vilain II d' Aulnay , Baron d'Arcadia and Jeanne de Briel. Marguerite d' Aulnay died after 1334.¹
      Marguerite d' Aulnay was also known as Margherita d' Alneto , Heir of Teano. She ES III/4:750 tentatively makes Margherita the daughter of Vilain II d'Aulnay lord of Arkadia. [Richard Borthwick]
