     He appeared on the census of 1 April 1861 at Erskine, Renfrewshire, Scotland; No evidence this is actually the correct Robert, but there is a John Gooldie living in the same houshold. John Gould is the father of Robert's daughter-in-law, Jane, so this puts a strong suspicion that this may be correct family. Mary's death certificate gives a maiden name of Vaughn. This is very similar to the Irvine given on Joseph's death certificate.1

A likelyhood exists that this may be the first Oliver to purchase property in Cayuga county. It would explain the difference in names of spouses in the two property transfers and, more importantly, offer an explaination of why Hannah Bonker Bunker's parents are listed as Hannah and Oliver Bonker. Matilda was named as the wife of Oliver in the deed from 1813. on 13 April 1810 at Lot 45, Aurelius, Cayuga, New York, USA.3

     Elizabeth Bonker was born in September 1794 at New York, New York, USA.2,3 She was born on 7 September 1795 at New York, USA; In the majority of the censuses where "Betsy" Bonker is found, the age corraborates the 1795 year of birth, matching the date from the family Bible.

The place of birth of New York, New York listed on Halsey Stevenson's pedigree chart has no source, but is probably from Mary Elizabeth Stevenson's death record. It gives her mother's place of birth as "NY." As most of the other entries in the Montezuma Vital Records give a city and state, most likely this represents only New York State. However, if the family enumerated in the 1800 census as Oliver Barker or Backer is this family, then the New York, NY locale could be correct.1 She was the daughter of Oliver Bonker and Matilda (?).1 Elizabeth Bonker married Halsey Bidwell, son of John Bidwell and Sarah Penfield, on 25 January 1814 at Cayuga, New York, USA.4,5 Elizabeth Bonker died on 20 March 1879 at Cayuga, New York, USA, at age 83.5,6 She was buried at Old Montezuma Cemetery, Montezuma, Cayuga, New York, USA; Bidwell, Betsey E. w of Halsey B.     d. Mar 20, 1879 ae 84y 6 mo (stone down).2
